Pez’s Bio
Hey, I’m Pantea — born in Tehran, now calling Montreal home! Also someone who’s taken the “non-linear” career path. I’ve dipped my toes in hardware engineering and telecommunication (yep, I know logics)and don’t forget that I am Iranian I was supposed to be either a Doctor or an engineer! Then I had to get my Masters degree-commerce and marketing, Here I jumped out of academic life and got Pilates certificate (where I learned how to daily things more efficiently), and after immigrating to canada as a skill worker I started getting closer to myself and did Fashion!
In 2015, I graduated in fashion design from LaSalle College in Montreal and somehow managed to be one of Canada’s top designers in the Telio Lux contest. Great experience, I wanted to create a way that was more meaningful. Until I realized fashion is the 2nd most polluted industry after oil and gas. I was still wanted to create but final image was the best moment of the collection design for me.
Eventually, photography found me — and it fit perfectly with of all my specialties. It brings together my love for creativity, my technical side, And fashion came in handy. Most of my fashion ideas are coming into life faster than before.
In 2023, I organized a street photography workshop with CDAH where I got to geek out with others who love capturing the spontaneous magic of the streets. Also multiple photography workshops and headshot clinics for Kids and adults.
In 2024, I received the DémART Grant from the “Conseil des arts de Montréal” and curated Identity Through Photography — a photo exhibition for people who needed a platform to share their stories. The project designed for immigrant women and LGBTQ+ communities in Montreal, and it gained attention from artists, and media (CBC TV). For me the real win was how the exhibition gave a voice to those who deserved to be seen.
In 2025 I Graduated from Dawson college prestigious Commercial photography program-My final portfolio was a surreal approach with deep take trying to challenge borders of fashion, luxury and what is considered beauty.
Now, I’m a freelance Photographer, retouching and videographer. If you are looking for projects to create images that aren’t just pretty but also tell a story and make impact — let’s chat.
